Today Marc and I placed our new "Fluffy Fondant" feeders on top of our two hives. The directions for this type of fondant and feeder system are posted in the December newsletter at RIbeekeeper.org. We're hoping the bees will eat this fondant and make it through the winter. It was encouraging to see both hives so healthy and what appeared to be high in numbers. We will check on things in a week or two to see how much of the fondant they have eaten.
